Plant care instruction
- Sowing Season: Best grown in winter & suits to grow throughout the year.
- Sowing Techniques: Sow the seeds directly in raised beds in the backyard or in a shallow container with a minimum depth of 5 inches & bigger spread area like trays or crates with uniform drainage holes at the bottom. Fill the container with 2 part of garden soil & 1 part of organic manure (FYM)/1 part coco peat & 1 part of vermicompost
- Break the coriander seeds to split them with your hand by rubbing them between your palms & sprinkle the seeds evenly throughout the surface & take some soil in hand & sprinkle over the container/seedbed to cover the seeds.
- Water the sown seed bed/container immediately by a light shower with sprinkling water can and in outdoor raised beds, protects them from heavy rain or direct sunlight by making a temporary roof with plastic sheet for a few days.
- Thinning can be done if more than one seed has germinated per hole, cut off the smaller seedlings by keeping one seedling per hole. Baby coriander plants will be visible in 10-15 days and mature leaves will be ready to harvest in 30 days.
- Seeds will germinate within the first six days or even much earlier & tiny seedlings will be visible with first leaves.
